امیر تیموری در ۱۸ دیماه ۱۴۰۴ در منطقهٔ سرِ کانال فردیس کرج کشته شد. او بر اثر شلیک مستقیم نیروهای امنیتی جان باخت. امیر تیموری به همراه برادرش امید تیموری و برادرزاده ۱۹ سالهاش آرمین تیموری به قتل رسید. امید و آرمین که ساکن محلهٔ فلاح تهران بودند، در زمان کشتهشدن برای مهمانی به خانهٔ امیر در فردیس رفته بودند. پس از این رویداد، خانوادهٔ تیموری تحت فشار نیروهای حکومتی قرار گرفتند و مجبور به خاکسپاری مخفیانه پیکرها شدند.
